It’s Julie Forbes, whom you’ll be seeing more of on our newly revamped website! And who is Julie? Well, here’s the story.
The Otteroo OG team (that’s original gangster for you millennials) was comprised of aunties and one mom, Emi, whose daughter Sophia had already aged out of the floatie when it first launched. We like to think we are pretty good at many different things but having the perspective of an Otteroo mom was definitely not one of them.
In the spring of 2015, I met Julie through Jill of Baby Rabies. I was struck by Julie’s presence and also fascinated by her background from being a former TV news anchor to now military spouse and full time stay at home mom of three (now four!). Superwoman Julie was interested in doing some writing in her multitude of spare time so she interviewed a few inspirational Otteroo parents for our new blog. We fell in love with her writing and as some of the aunties in our team recently also became moms, we found her stories of raising four kids both entertaining and educational. Lucky for us, Julie already loved using Otteroo for her two youngest so really, this was a match made in diaper heaven.
So without further ado, with the launch of our new website, we are excited to introduce “Mom Life” where Julie will share her thoughts on motherhood, parenting hacks, and life in general. We are pretty sure you will love her as much as we do!
